Matthew 22:1-14 1And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, 2The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, 3And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. 5But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. 7But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
11And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14For many are called, but few are chosen.
And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
We have been deceived brothers and sisters, to believe that the sins of this world satisfy us, while simultaneously holding us back from being truly satisfied in the only way the soul can be by knowing and becoming one with the Almighty, for where there is sin God will not reside and where God is no sin can be. Yet I have heard it said before that one cannot stop sinning- that we are not able to stop, but is it not written that, “I am able to do all things through HE that strengthens me.” Therefore, it is not an issue of ability, but an issue of faith and desire. Certainly, we have all sinned and death is the natural price of justice, but did our King not die to redeem us of this sin? And is His reward not life eternal? Why then should we continue to walk the path of death or justify sin. If you are with Him, how then can you sin against Him? “Go and sin no more” He preached unto the saved. But surely no one could succeed in this task alone, just like no one could redeem his own sin, what I tell you is within the regenerated man dwells the very spirit of God that redeemed him, that through Him you will be whole, a perfect, new creation in His image and likeness, and for His glory entirely as we were born to be. indeed, we were not born for the temporal desires of the flesh, no, not to fulfill the petty yearnings of a lustful mind, nor to act upon the fleeting voice of emotion. We are not just the flesh, but a living soul made to be sustained by the very love and Spirit of its Creator and in this is not the emptiness of a dying world but the promise and purpose of eternity within us that all truly desire, but nearly all, have rejected. Our calling is to reject this world of sin, not to embrace it or find pleasure in it, to allow it to consume us day by day until the relinquishing of our most valuable possession and potential but rather to carry out God’s will in loving Him with all of our being, and displaying our love for Him in sacrifice for others. That by sanctification through truth and communion with His Spirit He may transform you into His likeness, bathed in His unimaginable perfection from a once lowly and depraved being ALL FOR HIS NAME’S SAKE AND FOR HIS GLORY. You are to gain dominion over your flesh, you were not made to be a slave to it! You were given dominion over this world Child of God! Do not let it gain dominion over you, for even you shall judge the angels. He is your strength, He is mighty, He is perfect, and it is only through Him that you can be like Him, you cannot, nor were you created to do this alone, so fear not for WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH OUR MESSIAH, JESUS CHRIST THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.
We have been deceived brothers and sisters into being fearful of our enemy when it is our passivity that gives our enemy strength. We have been made to be silent in the face of those shackled by deception, when it is truth that will set them free! For our Father’s word is the truth and in His name, every chain is broken. We must stop giving power to those who have ensnared the world through lies and deception. we must stop giving power to that which has already killed us- (sin). For the moment we die to sin, it is God almighty who then lives within us.
Despite the systems of this world that make it so easy to take the wrong path, we inevitably have the choice to grant the world and the enemy dominion over us, or to break free of the things that wish to enslave us and keep us within bondage by the gifts of God. The forces that fear the true potential within man, that by the very Spirit of God we may be used to bring to a spoil the kingdom of darkness and even in death enter into eternal life, becoming a part of all that is and all that shall be, while those wicked ones are preserved for the day of destruction and judgement. The gift of God has been offered- the Spirit of LIBERTY – that by drinking of Christ’s cup you have proclaimed that you will LIVE eternally in his name. But if you have tasted of this goodness and yet continue to walk haphazardly, what a dreadful fate to FALL without him and tread upon His blood. In the end, our condemnation is upon our own heads having been given the power to overcome the world there is no longer an excuse to also live like it. Receive this gift. If you love God you will strive to know and follow His commandments, but if you hate him you will continue to do that which breaks them without contrition, and follow the world into eternal destruction. The question is, will you set aside your comforts, and the life you used to know in order to claim a true one? This is the question we must all ask ourselves. Nevertheless, let he who seeks truth and righteousness come that the glory, wisdom and love of God may be bestowed and made manifest even in this place.
