Virtue

2 Corinthians 5:20-21

20Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God. 21God made Him who knew no sin to be sinb on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

Focus on the face of the Living God. The heathen plots, and the scornful mount their hollow words like traps. They compass round like wolves. Yet you are never alone. Though the dying seem to prevail casting their lies and doubts upon you in heaps; their wrath and hatred a spite unto your ears. Stand firm against them. Combat their falsity and it shall be consumed, lest you question that which you know. Remain in Him. For it is His love which sustains us. It is His joy which strengthens us. His wisdom that fulfills us. His righteousness satisfies us.

It shall be found that humility is the joyful and selfless acknowledgment of the truth. Wisdom is the understanding of the unseen and faith the substance thereof. Pride is the undeserving exaltation of the self, that strives for immediate personal gain without regard for true harmonious fulfillment. Intellect comprehends only the seen and fear is produced then by the lack of understanding. What value is intellect without wisdom and what then should we fear but that which we have faith in? Speak I not of God? For God comprehends all and knows all yet being unseen His actions are made manifest, so that all creation may witness His works and then in faith worship Him. Indeed He a lone should be feared for no flesh can see Him, nor comprehend Him but only by faith in Him be glorified by Him. Only through humility can this truth can be acknowledged, lest pride take you from it. For only through faith in the Son do we become the righteousness of God.

Therefore, be not as the ones of the world whose foundation is laid upon sand, their houses painted with gold- whilst their innards remain empty. Be a temple unto the Lord, outwardly meek but full of abundance within. Prepared and furnished to be shared with those who lack. Be founded upon the solid rock, and like a tree planted in fertile soil. No matter whether flood or drought, your roots shall extend deep into the earth and produce the fruit of righteousness for those who hunger for it. And tried by the fire you shall remain, purified seven times through the furnace, until nothing but our Father’s perfection remains.
